TKP Bulacan’s very own, Brod Butch Aldaba, will visit Nova Scotia, Canada from October 21 to November 10, 2013 on a study grant funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the City of Malolos.
This is a project of CIDA with a theme, “Building Leadership, Knowledge and Capacity for Sustainable Global Impact”.
Bro. Butch is currently the economic enterprise manager of the City of Malolos responsible for all the income-generating facilities of the city. It is fitting therefore that he gets to attend this training program.
Together with other participants coming from different parts of the world, Brod Butch will be given training in the field of livelihoods and markets at the St. Francis Xavier University based in Nova Scotia, Canada with the Coady Institute providing the training.
Prior to him going to Nova Scotia, he will stay in Vancouver first. He plans to visit Toronto after his schooling and will then visit his sister in Illinois, USA. He is hoping to meet with other brods from Canada and the USA during his visit.
Bro. Butch is active in community civic organizations such as the Malolos Jaycees, Inc. of which he was the former national officer, and also the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Malolos, of which he was a past president. The Rotary Club is known for its charitable work in the community. On June 13, 2013, the Club conducted their annual giving of school supplies to elementary students.
