GC William Macavinta Receives NAPOLCOM Award - Tau Kappa Phi Fraternity, FEU Law

Past Grand Chancellor (PGC) and Police Senior Superintendent (P/Sr. Supt.) William S. Macavinta was honored as an awardee by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) during the celebration of the latter’s 49th Founding Anniversary on September 8, 2015.

GC Macky, as he is popularly known among Tau Kappa brethren, is the only police officer who was given a distinction during the occasion. His Certificate of Recognition was awarded for “his expertise in the development of test items for the PNP Entrance and Promotional examinations and PESE examination.”

The other awardees were Parole and Probation Administration Director Edita K. Buemio, Retired JCSupt. Doris Remedios-Dorigo, Ellen C. Gran of the Crusade Against Violence, and NAPOLCOM Employees.

GC Macky presently holds the position as Chief of the Crime Analysis Center, Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management and member of the NAPOLCOM Test Development Committee and Police Executive Service Eligibility-Test Development Committee. He once served as the Police Provincial Director of the Albay Police Provincial Office and Chief of the Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team of the Pasay City Police Office.

He was the Tau Kappa Phi Fraternity Grand Chancellor for the school term 1993 to 1994.
