Despite of his tight schedule to roam around the historic city of London, past Grand Chancellor (PGC) Atty. Edgar Fernando managed to find time to personally greet, meet and chat on February 23, 2015, with fraternal brethren living in the United Kingdom.
It has been a tradition of Tau Kappans in the UK to make the popular pub in central London, Moon Under Water in Leicester Square, as the venue for visiting Grand Chancellors. Vice GC Korch’s wife, Portian Sister Maybel also joined the occasion.
As a token of appreciation, PGC Ed was given a present, a cased collection of British coins in different denominations. The brethren shared experiences with the fold and had fun and laughter.
But what stuck in the minds of the brethren were his words of wisdom and advice regarding work, personal development and family life. He shared his past experiences, the challenges that he and his family encountered and how they were managed and overcome.
London was the last destination in his and wife’s European itinerary before going back to the Philippines. They went around historical and scenic places in Holland, Italy, France, Germany to name a few.
